I remember Roger as my brother Wayne's friend when we lived in Weymouth when I was young. He was always kind to me and I remember his big laugh when they were goofing around. Our mothers stayed good friends their whole lives, so I often heard news of your family. He lived a good, productive life and I am sure you will have many warm memories to share. My condolences to Marguerite and the whole family.

As a young teenager who was fascinated with big trucks, I remember as young boys we could always count on Roger and the Red truck he drove at that time to blow his horn every time he drove by the Mullen home. As years passed by and I became a member of the Weymouth Fire Department, Roger became known as a man who was always there for his community and one that the department always looked up to. To Rogers family, our prayers are with you at this difficult time.

We were so sorry to read of Roger’s passing this morning in the paper. Coleen and I were newly married when we bought our first home up the lane behind Roger and Marguerite’s house. Roger became a great neighbour and friend. Coleen came to know Roger well during her employment with Rex Colwell. We both remember Roger as a gentle giant and I will remember him as a giant in the forestry business. I can’t help thinking of Jerry LeBlanc when I think of Roger. Now we have lost two great gentlemen from up on top of the hill.

I am so sorry to hear of Roger's passing. He was my first friend when I moved to Weymouth in 1952 and we shared school, church, and many play days together. I remember our push carts; our fascination with steam trains, which we were not supposed to get close to, but did; chasing that lamb (ram?) that he raised; exploring the big house he lived in; rhythm band, that he mastered better than I ever did. I am glad that I saw him and met Marguerite a few years ago. Sad that he is gone. My condolences to all.

Dear Roger and family
You will be forever in my heart. Thankyou for all of life's lessons you taught me. You showed me how to work hard but also to have fun along life's journey. Your knowledge and ability to fix, to build, and to understand the mechanics of machines always impressed me. The way you lived your life showed your true values. Firstly to family, but also to friends and your pet dogs. I have great memories of "General" sitting along side of you in the semi trucks. You cared greatly for others and would give the shirt off your back to help another. RIP
