Rowena A. Cossett

Rowena Annie Cossett- Age 94, of Digby, passed away May 19, 2021. Born in Centreville, Digby Neck, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Francetta (Frost) Cossett. Rowena was baptized on September 15, 1941 and was a faithful lifelong servant of her God, Jehovah.

She was a member of The Digby Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She worked as a secretary and spent most of her working career with various Provincial and Federal Government Departments. Rowena and her brother Murray were, at one time, partners in a walk-in photo shop located in downtown Digby. Many in the Congregation gave a helping hand to Rowena when she needed practical assistance to get things done, taking her to medical appointments, doing errands and more. Her neighbors also kept a watchful eye out for her as well. In recent years, Rowena moved to Tide View Terrace where she received excellent care. She often remarked about how much she liked It there and how nice the staff was to her. Thank you to all those who took such good care of Rowena.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces, great nephews and their families. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers, Ambrose, Kenneth, Delmar, Murray; sisters, Pauline, Janet, Lottie, and Adriel.
