Harroun, Valerie Elizabeth- 66 of Shore Road, Digby, passed away September 13th 2011 at home. Born in Digby, Valerie was a daughter of the late Reginald and Ada (Turnbull) Holdsworth. She was a hairdresser for forty years and started her career with Eileen Woodman. She owned and operated Val’s Beauty Salon. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Anne Eaton of Centreville, Kings County, sister Donna (Gerry Post) Marino Ottawa, Ontario; brother Greg Holdsworth of Dartmouth and half brother James Doucette, Plympton, Digby County and three grandsons. Valerie was predeceased by her brother George. Funeral service will be held on 11 am Wednesday, September 21 from Jayne’s Funeral Home 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525). Pastor Simone Wilson will officiate with burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Digby. Donations in memory can be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
