Wheelhouse, Volivia “Vi” Ellen –84 of Digby, passed away peacefully May 16, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Volivia was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Jeanette (Vantassel) Melanson. She is survived by her husband James, son Dr. James Wheelhouse and his wife Brenda , Albert Bridge, NS; son Thomas Wheelhouse and his wife Marilyn, Calgary, AB; daughter Patricia, Kingston, NS; brothers Carl (Rene) Melanson, Bob (Flo) Melanson, sister Connie (Frank) Comeau. Volivia will be lovingly missed by her grandson Jonathon Wheelhouse and his wife Stacey, Ottawa, ON; granddaughters Michelle Wheelhouse, Glace Bay, NS; and Alexandra Wheelhouse, Calgary, AB. Besides her parents, Vi was predeceased by sisters Helen Comeau, Eileen Adams, Jeanette Smith, Vivian Partridge, brother Arnold Melanson. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
