Walter Sapper

Sapper, Walter – Age 81 of Digby passed away June 2nd, 2015 in Digby General Hospital. Born in West Germany, Walter was a son of the late Jacob and Maria Sapper. He immigrated to Canada in 1957, settling in Toronto. Over the years Walter worked in Germany, England, Saudi Arabia, and Australia retiring to Digby with his wife Kaye in 1994. He enjoyed hand ball and soccer in his younger years and after retirement he enjoyed golfing. Walter is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen “Kaye” Sapper; sisters, Marine and Irma both of Germany; nieces and nephews, Jason (Nancy), Matthew (Tracy), Amy(Craig), Ellen, Gunter, Hans Deiter, Kimberley Court (Leigh) and Kevin Norebye; sisters in-law, Helene and Karen (Ron), also known as Opa to Hannah, Griffin and Haydon. Besides his parents, Walter was predeceased by brother Seigfred. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be 11am, Friday June 5th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch Street Digby (245-2525).
