Orosi, California - Antonio (Tony) Espiritu passed away at the age 92 on February 28, 2024. He was born on July 18, 1931 in Lihue, Kauai to Leon and Fructuosa Espiritu. He graduated from Kauai High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. While in the Army, he was stationed in Japan where he met and married his beloved wife, Kiyoko. Upon retirement from the Army, he and his family made their home in Orosi. He was employed as a mechanic at Jim Manning Dodge, Dinuba then later worked for Cutler-Orosi Unified School District as a custodian/bus driver for 22 years.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Marcelo Espiritu, Benjamin Espiritu and sister, Emily Floresca.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Kiyoko; sons Jerry and Anthony, and daughters, Katherine and Karen and brother, Ernesto. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dopkins Funeral Chapel in Dinuba.
Graveside services will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella on Friday, March 15, 2024 at10:30 AM.
