Diane Leah Jacobsen Armstrong, age 87, daughter of Earl & Naomi Jacobsen, departed from this world early Monday morning, January 12, 2026. She had been a long-time resident of Dinuba, CA for over 50 years. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Lowell Armstrong—their family growing soon after with the birth of daughter Diana, and Lowell Jr., their son. A homemaker for all her life, Diane kept a tidy home, hosting frequent gatherings and family events, and devotedly tending to her large Eden-like garden that she held court over—methodically pruning roses, transplanting bulbs, and waging war with invading weeds and pests. So pristine she kept the garden, many a passer-by would pull to the side of the road and ask to walk the paths of her little paradise on Earth. Never idle, she became a certified trained beautician, and later chose to go back to college to earn a degree in Child Development. Diane was the family historian—proud of her Jacobsen roots and charting long lost relatives back to Denmark and Australia. As a life-long follower of Christ, Diane was passionate in the word of God. For many years she organized and lead bible studies that grew substantially in attendance due to her knowledge and enthusiasm of her testimony. She has now left us to go to her reward.
Diane Armstrong was preceded in death by her husband Lowell, her children Diana Stohl and Lowell Armstrong Jr., and her brothers Skip Jacobsen and Darryl Jacobsen. She is survived by her sister-in-law Karan Jacobsen, and her nephews and nieces; Erik Jacobsen, Randy Jacobsen, Michelle Maggard, and Brandie Morrison.
Services will be held at Reedley Cemetery, February 3rd at 2:00 pm.
