Howard A Kaplan

It is with the heaviest heart that we announce the passing of Howard Kaplan - husband to Maddy, father to Adam (Mali) and Eric (Melissa), grandfather to Gabriella, Sawyer and Finn, brother to Sharon (Arnie)...and loved and cherished by so many more. Simple words, but what lies beneath them is an ocean of love, memories, gratitude, and laughter. Dad passed away late Saturday evening at the age of 83 - less than a week shy of his 84th birthday. We love and miss him dearly - as dearly as can be, more than any words could express - but in our hearts, we know he is up there getting ready to celebrate a heavenly Thanksgiving and birthday with a host of family and friends who were waiting to welcome him. In the words of someone I know who inspires me, I will think of Dad not as departed, but "promoted."

There is so much more to say, of course. We will post a proper tribute very soon. For now, please know how grateful we are for the support of our friends and family - our loved ones - who we know are keeping the one and only Howie in their hearts. His memory is and will always be a blessing, and we will hold our love for him deeply, dearly, and forever. And in that way, we know that he will always be with us.
