Joan Harris

On Sunday, December 5, 2021, Joan Harris, loving wife, mother of two children, and grandmother of two children, passed away at the age of 64. Joan was born on September 11, 1957 in Far Rockaway, NY to Sydney and Natalie Rosenblum. She received her bachelor’s degree in music from Brooklyn College. On April 12, 1980, she married Arnold Harris, a man she knew when they were both babies. They raised two children, Jillian and Paul. She taught piano for many years, and became a secretary at Uniondale High School later in life. Joan had a passion for music. She was well known for her amazing piano playing skills and her creative mind. She was also very well known for her kindness and compassion. And she was so passionate and in love with her two granddaughters, Olivia and Emma. Joan was preceded in death by her father Sydney, her mother Natalie, and her sister Margie. She is survived by her husband Arnold, her sister Randi, her son Paul, her daughter Jillian, her son-in-law Tony, and two grandchildren, Olivia and Emma. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at I.J. Morris in Dix Hills at 12 p.m.
