
Karen Ellen Krinsky (Weiner Weinraub) suddenly passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 74 in Oakdale, NY. Born on March 8, 1950, Karen lived a life marked by her dedication to education and her vibrant personality.
Karen was beloved for her outgoing, fun-loving nature, and her passion for nurturing young minds. She dedicated many years to educating children, eventually becoming a day care director, where she influenced countless lives with her wisdom and kindness.
In addition to her professional achievements, Karen had a rich personal life filled with hobbies that included reading, traveling, and acting. These activities brought her great joy and fulfillment, reflecting her zest for life and learning.
Karen is survived by her husband, Stephen Krinsky; her children, Scott Weiner (Azadeh) and Bonnie Bambara (Edward); her stepchildren, Adam Krinsky (Sarah) and Darlene Petroccione (Nick); and she was a cherished Bubbie to her grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Lily, and Ebbie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kitty Davner and Ben Weinraub.
The funeral will be held at I.J. Morris Funeral Home in Dix Hills, NY, on Sunday, January 5th at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon. Shiva will be observed at Greenwood at Oakdale Clubhouse on January 5th, 6th, and 7th.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Israel Defense Forces or PJ Library, organizations that were close to Karen's heart.
Karen's legacy of love, learning, and caring will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family extends their gratitude to everyone for their support during this challenging time.
