I'm so very sorry to learn of Phyllis's passing.

We'd been friends since age 2 until I moved away at age nine, but we'd kept up a correspondence ever since.

I have very fond memories of dancing to Guy Lombardo at her house on Friday night, as well as her mother's excellent chicken soup, which she always brought to my house next door when I was sick.

Phyllis is being missed by family and many friends, I'm sure.

Dear Phyllis…. It’s with great sadness that I’m bidding you a transatlantic farewell.  Wishing you a peaceful, quiet road to the other side, from where, I’m sure you’ll be watching over us.  I carry inside many fond memories of your presence when I was a child and of course am grateful for all you and Roy did for my mum when she departed.

Lieve Roy, dear family,

We are so very sad to learn about this unexpected news concerning your wonderful, warmhearted and sparkling  wife, mother and grandmother.

We will never forget how she took care of Babs with so much love, care and patience during her last moments. And we were also very grateful for her willingness to share past memories with us.

Amazingly, Phyllis still found the energy and strength to write us a new year's card in December despite her illness, and we will dearly cherish it, together with our fond memories of her that will always stay in our hearts. 

We wish you lots of strength during these difficult moments and will be thinking of you all tomorrow morning.

Phyllis will always be remembered for her kind spirit and her pleasant nature. Her love for her family was evident and we are sure will be greatly missed.
