Roberta Gothelf

Roberta was raised in Malden, Massachusetts, but she came to see Brooklyn, New York as her true home and a representation of her feisty spirit. It was in Brooklyn that she made a life with her husband Edward of 56 years and raised their daughter Andrea. Roberta was known to always open her home and her heart to all; she was a friend to many and had a kindness and generosity that will be long remembered.

Roberta is predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Jennie Westerman, her brother David Westerman, and her devoted husband of 56 years, Edward Gothelf. Surviving are her daughter Andrea Chasin and husband Jeff, sister Tobey Shimberg and husband Steve, brother Harvey Westerman and wife Henrietta, sister-in-law Bella Westerman, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren Jack, Michael, Ilana, and Maya.

Services will be at I. J. Morris in Dix Hills, NY at 10:00am on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
