
Seymour Winchel passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life defined by loyalty, warmth, and deep friendship. A devoted son, he cared tenderly for his parents and remained a steadfast presence in the lives of everyone he loved. He dedicated many years to the United States Post Office and found joy in golf, fishing, traveling, and playing Rummikub with friends in Florida.
Seymour was known for his remarkable memory and sharp mind, and he had a rare gift for connecting with people, never forgetting a face or a story. He had a natural ability to make people feel welcome and remembered.
He is survived by his nephews Aaron (Whitney), Joshua (Lauren), and Michael; his niece Debra (Dan); and his great-nieces and nephews Iila, Ana, Evelyn, Chase, Julian, Henry, and Andrew. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Sharon Dickstein, and is also fondly remembered by his brother-in-law, Allen Dickstein.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Graveside Service will be held at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704, US, on March 27, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
