I am sad to learn of Kay's passing.  We were college roommates and stood up in each other's weddings.  Sadly we've been out of touch for years and I've learned of this development in doing a computer search for her name.  
I remember Kay's warmth and her laugh, always big and booming, seeming to explode out of her.  And laugh we did.  So many good memories. I remember how hard she worked to do well in school, studying late each night and every day.  Keeping up an apartment was a joint effort with our third roommate and we shared the responsibility in getting that done.  
Kay was kind, loving and genuine.  I wish all the family peace in the days ahead and only good memories.  


To Wayne and all of Kay's family. I'm so sorry to hear of Kay's passing. Although I haven't seen her often since school, I'm happy I had a chance to talk to her at a recent school reunion. Hoping your memories will give you peace, joy and laughter, now and in the future.

Kay and I shared so many awesome memories and never will I forget her smile, laughter, and daily hello in the school halls.  She was so caring of all the alternative and adult students and always encouraged them to reach their goals of high school graduation!!  Love her so much and know she is now in a garden of forever blooming flowers and fruits.

I haven’t seen Kay or Wayne since high school and was sorry to learn of her passing. I’ll always remember her laugh and smile - she had so much positive energy!  She’ll be missed - but remembered.

My big sister was the most caring and  giving person you would ever come across. Being that I was born the year she left for college I was always spoiled when she would come home on break or when she would sneak home unannounced bearing gifts for her baby brother.  She has taught me many valuable life lessons and was always an understanding nonjudgmental ear when I needed to unload my baggage to someone.   I’m sure she is enjoying the best ginger snap cookies (her favorite) with all of our family members and friends that greeted her  when she entered Heaven.   I will love and miss you always.

Wayne and Kay were valued neighbors. Wayne took such tender care of her in her illness and we loved seeing him take her for rides just because she loved rides. Kay was so proud of her sons and especially her Wyatt and Princess. But she was always interested in our family too.  She loved it when I'd walk over with my growing grandchildren. Kay and her gentle spirit will be missed very much. But her flower gardens will continue to reflect the beautiful person she was.

Kay was a gift to all of us, staff and students, in the adult and alternative education programs. Thank you for sharing this beautiful person with us. Please accept appreciation and condolences.

My deepest sympathy to you and yours families.  I graduated high school with Kay in 1967,  I also lost my husband of 50 yrs . 2 years ago.  

My memories of Kay go back to when I was a small child. Our families have been friends for many, many years.
I don't recall a single memory where she wasn't loving on and doting over anyone who entered her door and sat at her table.
She is a precious gem from my life that will be missed but never forgotten.   Until we meet again, rest in the arms of our Lord.

My Aunt Kay was a big part of my life. We enjoyed time at the Gun Lake cottage, holidays at the Plum Street home, and gatherings at the two homes in Moline. She was always very hospitable, always proud of me and offering support, and cherished her family.  She was very strong in her fight with Parkinson’s. Always looking her best with styled hair and nails. A boy mom that despite being smaller, could keep her boys in line ;)  She’s missed and loved.

I grew up on the same street as Kay, living just three houses away from her.  We went through school K-12 together, and met Wayne when he came to Wayland in high school.
I hope that you can pause to reflect on the good times, and allow the memories of happy events to uplift you in your time of loss.
