

Harriette S. Donofro, a longtime resident of Dothan, passed away peacefully Monday night at her home while surrounded by her family. She was 87.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel on West Main Street. The Memorial Service will start at 11:00 a.m. with Hospice Chaplain Talmadge Butler officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing.
“Mimi” as she was fondly known to her grandchildren is survived by her children, Joe Donofro (Lisa) of Dothan, AL, Dr. Melanie Donofro of Tallahassee, FL, Daphne Donofro Walker (Robert) of Montgomery, AL, and her grandchildren, Joseph, Natalie, Melanie, Olivia, Malone and Walden as well as her sister, Catherine Turner and many nieces and nephews across the country.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the caregivers of Beautiful Beginnings who loved and cared for “Mimi” till the end. Owner Kintenia Harris, Andria Vickers, Chelmek Jackson, Nell Johnson, Vanessa Johnson, and Rubbies Bechum. We are forever grateful for all you did to keep her comfortable and happy in her final days and hours. We would also like to thank Freddie Houston for his many years of help to Mimi and the Donofro Family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the organizations most important to Harriette.
