

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. (CST) Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Harpers Joy Assembly of God Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
He was born on August 25, 1921, in Dothan, AL where he lived the early years of his life. After graduation, he attended Auburn University. He began his aviation career at Napier Field, AL where he worked with his father, Henry Augusta Frith for a short period of time.
He then entered the U.S. Army where he served from 1941-1946 during wartime. In the early 1960’s, he began his civil service career with the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Warner Robbins Air Force Base. He later transferred to Miami where he worked with Aerodex, Inc. for several years. In 1971, he moved to St. Augustine and was employed with Fairchild/Hillard Aviation until his retirement from the Federal Government in 1977. Mr. Frith was a member of several charitable organizations and the VFW.
Mr. Frith is predeceased by his parents Henry Augusta and Annie Miller Frith, his wife, Doris Hazel Varnum Frith, an infant daughter, a son, Jimmie Neil Frith and a brother, Sidney Frith.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. Frith and his wife, Helen A. Frith of Bishop, GA; three grandsons, Robert Andrew Frith of Westminster, CO, Ryan Alexander Frith of Athens, GA and
Ronald Gardner Frith of Jacksonville, OR; three great-grandchildren, Noah Daniel Frith, Sadie Maire Frith and Ryder Giovanni Frith; a sister, Mary Snyder of Athens, GA.
