Ms. Ada Jean Sorrells, age 77, of Douglasville, GA passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016. She was born November 2, 1938 in Forsyth, GA. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and flowers. Ada was a good hearted person who took pleasure in helping others. Her favorite thing was to spend time with her family.
Ms. Sorrells is preceded in death by her parents Grady Palmer and Ella Palmer Rains.
She is survived by her sons Kenneth Sorrells and Johnny Sorrells; her daughter Donna Wharton; brother Raymond Palmer; sisters Patricia Burns, Betty Karen Hehir and Cheryl Dye; five grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 12 until 1 o’clock. A memorial service will follow at 1 o’clock in the Rosehaven Chapel.
