Cynthia Marie Brunson , the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Clarence Brunson was born on August 10, 1949 at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. Cynthia grew up on 149th Street in Bronx, NY, where she attended parochial grade school. Cynthia went onto graduate from Dodge Vocational High School. As a young girl Cynthia never held her tongue and would say what was on her mind. Hence her mother named her “Mouth O’ Mighty.” Cynthia was very talented and enjoyed cooking and interior design. Cynthia would go on to use her talents to start her catering business; as well as design the apartments of family and friends.
Cynthia was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Graham Reid and Vairon J. Donovan, both whom preceded her in death.
Cynthia began her career at the New York Telephone Company in 1967. After 25 years of dedicated service, Cynthia retired in 1992. Cynthia had a strong work ethic and often held multiple jobs. Above all, Cynthia truly enjoyed working as a mixologist at upscale bars in NYC. One being the famous Showman’s Jazz Club in Harlem. Cynthia was anything but idle, and eventually would go on to become a top sales-woman at Avis Car Rental, as well as the star charity fundraiser for Publix. Supermarkets. Cynthia had a smile and personality that could take over an entire room; her wit unmatched. As a result of her generous and naturally spirit, many were drawn to her. She was loved by many. Cynthia quietly departed this life on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Well Star Community Hospice. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Rice, her brother Gregory Brunson, her nephews Todd Nesbit and Gregory Simmons and aunt Sandra Young.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, daughter, Antoinette Reid, sons Infinite Life and Mondo Donovan, her step-daughter Tiffany Schofield. Her grandchildren: Alexis, Porschia, Jordan, Bree, Kayla, Mondo Jr, Skylar, Hunter and her only great grandson Cairo. Her sister Hassanah, her brother in law Bashir, daughter in law Erica and her special daughter in law Theresa Shorts , her cousins, nieces, nephews. Her best friend forever Audrey, her husband Keith, her only god daughter Kia and a whole list of friends.
