Mr. Douglas “Doug” Benjamin Blair, Sr., age 80, of Douglasville, GA passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019. He was born on April 11, 1939 in Atlanta, GA to Duard and Clarice Blair. Doug was a 24 hour workaholic. He had to be kept busy. He loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. He enjoyed shooting guns and collecting all kinds of things. He loved to watch old western movies and play ‘nickle-nickle’ with his family. Most of all he loved having dinner with his family on Sunday nights.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his daughter, Donna Lynn; his brother, JL Hudson; and his sister, Joyce Lambert.
Doug is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann Blair; his children, Craig Blair, Jennifer (Joe) Woods, and Ben (Jennifer) Blair, Jr.; his step-daughter, Carol (Jud) Tibbitts and her children, Garner and Noah; his brother from another mother, Ray Edwards; his grandchildren, Alissa, Benjamin III, Mason, Isabelle, Zachary, Parker, and Trevor; his great-grandchildren, Aiden and Gavin; his nieces and nephews, Elaine Thomas, Vicki Spradlin, William “Bill” Lambert, Wanda McLaughlin, Cindy Steedle, and Linda Carmichael; and numerous other loved ones, family, and friends.
Mr. Blair will be cremated and the family will have a private gathering at a later date.
