Mr. Gene Butler, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Texas. Mr. Butler was Lt. Col. with the Alabama National Guard. He was also a member of Central Baptist Church in Douglasville.
He is survived by his wife, Sonya Butler; daughter Jordanna Butler; father Gene Butler, Sr.; mother Mary Ann Dermody and grandmother Louise Mitchell as well as numerous other family members.
Mr. Butler will lie in state on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Central Baptist Church, 5811 Central Church Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135 from 1 until 2 o’clock pm. A funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock. Interment will be at Rosehaven Cemetery, 8640 Rose Ave. Douglasville, GA 30135 at 4 o’clock pm.
