Mr. Everett L. Walters, Sr., age 76, of Douglasville, GA, formerly of Mableton, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015. He was born October 25, 1938 in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from West Fulton High School in 1956. Mr. Walters was a 32° Mason and member of the Yaarab Shriners, Atlanta, GA. He worked in the trucking industry for 30 years and retired from ABF in 1995.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy F. Walters; his parents, Eddie L. and Josephine Mobley Walters; and brother, Nolan C. Walters.
He is survived by his son, Everett L. Walters, Jr. “Buddy” and wife Stephanie of Dallas, Georgia; and his daughter, Melanie Walters Uken and husband Brent of Powder Springs, Georgia; grandchildren, Autumn M. Walters, Tatumn D. Walters, Kaytlin N. Graham, Hannah L. Graham and McKenna L. Walters; brother, Lee Thomas; and sister, Wanita Aldridge.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be Monday, October 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA.
