Mrs. Kimberly Hodges Lyle, age 58, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020. She was born May 23, 1962 in Birmingham, Alabama. Kimberly was a very loving, kind person, who loved horses and enjoyed country music. She loved being outside, enjoying the beach, the lake and floating in the pool. A highly organized person, she loved to plan. Her passion was cooking, and she loved planning get-togethers and hosting dinners. She enjoyed a career working with dispatching and warehouse logistics. She met her husband while working at Bondo.
Mrs. Lyle was preceded in death by her father, Edward Earl Hodges, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Robert Lee and Lillian Pitts; her paternal grandparents, Herman and Lorene Hodges; her mother-in-law, Priscilla Strickland and her husband, Marvin.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, Stephen “Steve” Lyle; her mother, Carol Anne Hodges; her father-in-law, Mike Lyle of Roopville, Georgia; her son, Jackson Lyle of Newnan, Georgia; her daughter, Kinsey Lyle of Powder Springs, Georgia; her brother, Eddie (Ann) Hodges of Whitesburg, Georgia; her brothers-in-law, Paul (Yvonne) Lyle of Muscadine, Alabama, Andy (Christy) Lyle of Fayetteville, Georgia and David (Lisa) Lyle of Brunswick, Georgia; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Douglasville, 5900 Prestley Mill Road Douglasville, Georgia 30135 on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following the visitation officiated by Dr. John Pennington.
