

Ned was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather to his family. Ned always projected a steady, loving presence to everyone who knew him. He is survived by his sisters Bonnie and Nancy, his children Christopher, Kelly, and Lisa, and his 4 grandsons Doug, Nathan, Andrew, and Nicholas. He treasured every minute with his grandsons and they were his pride and joy in his retirement years.
Ned was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joy Sheehy Gilliom. They were happily married for over 50 years and enjoyed traveling, being active in the church, and spending time with family.
Ned pursued higher education and earned his bachelor’s degree in Education. He went on to build a successful career with Ford Motor Credit, and then Nissan, where through dedication and hard work, he rose to become an automotive executive. His professional achievements were a testament to his perseverance and commitment.
Upon his retirement, Ned enjoyed golfing, reading, and spending time with his grandsons. He was also tremendously fond of dogs, and treated them as special members of the family.
A man of strong values and quiet strength, Ned will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his work ethic, his unwavering honesty, and the impact he had on those around him.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 11, at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Carrollton, Georgia.
Ned’s life was one of dedication, love, and resilience, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
