Pam was known for her kind heart, tender spirit, commitment to education, love of telling stories, devotion to Christ, and joy in her daughter, Jennifer.
Pam loved her Grammy, Rachel Genrose White Macarthy. Her Grammy showed her love, grace, kindness, faith, and gentleness during her childhood. She missed her Grammy every day. Pam loved her daughter, Jennifer Bennett, who was her greatest joy in life. Pam also loved her best friend and sister, Lynda Martin. They met living next door to each other in Italy, 50 years ago. Lynda's four sons, Greg, Philip, Tim, and Doug were like Pam's own, and she loved them each dearly, along with their wives and children.
Pam loved the Lord. She read daily from her Bible and studied. She knew she wanted to meet Jesus and give him a long hug.
Pam loved teaching. Her students were her kids, and she cared so deeply for them. She taught for 22 years, retired, and then taught with the GED program. She loved American history as well as finding little known facts that she could include in her lessons. Pam had a love of lifelong learning, and she tried to instill that in all her students.
Pam was a breast cancer survivor of almost 25 years. She was so in awe that she overcame this and was able to help so many other women. She was a mentor in everything she did.
Pam's favorite food was potato. She loved it anyway, soup, baked, hash browned, and mashed. She loved it even better with butter and cheese.
Pam has been a lifelong Neil Diamond fan. She was fortunate to see him in concert four times, once with her best friend, Lynda. She also loved to listen to Andy Williams, Roger Whittaker, Peter, Paul, and Mary, and Simon and Garfunkel.
Pam loved to read and work on puzzles on her Kindle. Her favorite authors were Jan Karon and Richard Paul Evans. She also loved snuggling with her cats, especially Rory and Lexi.
Pam was an amazing, smart, kind, intelligent, generous, compassionate, thoughtful, and supportive person in everything she did. She will leave a lasting whole in this world and especially with those that knew and loved her.
