

Mrs. Patricia Justice Kay, age 67, of Douglasville, GA passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. She was born February 14, 1948 in Flomaton, AL. Mrs. Kay graduated from Georgiana High School in 1966. In college she was a member of Kappa Delta and graduated from Auburn in 1971 with a degree in Education. Mrs. Kay retired from Douglas County Board of Education as a teacher. Pat loved spending time with her family, her friends, and her dogs. She was a member of the Junior Service League of Douglas County and she supported the Booster Club in Douglas County for many years. In her leisure time she loved interacting with the clients at Kay Animal Hospital, going out to eat with friends and family, traveling to the Bahamas, and spoiling her dogs and grandkids. Pat could light up any room she entered with her smile, laugh and crazy personality. She loved life fully and will be missed dearly until the day comes when we’re together again.
Mrs. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Conway John and Marilyn Stewart Justice as well as her daughter Kimberly Kay.
She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Dr. James (Jim) E. Kay; son Dr. Michael and wife Christy Kay; step-daughter Karen Kay and husband Corey Sorensen; brother Joseph Conway and wife Rheta Pride Justice; grandchildren Mackenzie, Carly, Kyan, Sophia, Ella, and her baby granddaughter that she was excited about meeting in a few weeks; nephews Jason Justice and Jeff Justice as well as several other family members.
There will be a memorial service held at Crossroads Church of Douglasville, 5960 Stewart Pkwy, Douglasville, GA 30135, phone:(678) 370-0555 on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2 o’clock pm with Joe C. Justice, Colonel USAF (Ret.) and Pastor Greg Towler officiating.
