She was born in Oneonta, Alabama, on September 18, 1939, the daughter of the late Mr. Lonnie Leondus Moorer and Mrs. Myrtle Jones Sloan. Patsy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She had a heart full of love for her family and was always there to offer support, kindness, and joy. Patsy’s dedication to her family was evident in everything she did, and she cherished the time she spent with her loved ones. After many years of service, she retired from Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority. Patsy had a passion for shopping, especially when it came to finding the perfect purse. Her love for fashion extended to her impeccable sense of style, ensuring her hair was always perfectly done before she left the house. She enjoyed pampering herself with regular trips to have her nails done, and her attention to detail was second to none.
Regarding relaxation, Patsy loved watching home and garden shows, often finding inspiration in the designs and decor she admired. She also had a special place in her heart for country music and southern gospel, with Vince Gill and Alan Jackson being her favorite singers. His music brought her comfort and joy, often filling her home with familiar melodies.
Patsy loved the beach, and some of her happiest memories were spent on the shores of Panama City Beach and Gulf Shores. The sound of the waves and the sun's warmth were her perfect escape, and she relished every moment spent there.
Patsy’s memory will live on through her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, laughter, and vibrant personality will never be forgotten.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Sara Gann, and a baby brother.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Allen Clements; her children, Randy (Teresa) Blackwood and Jerie Ann Blackwood; her stepchildren, Ginger (Joe) Jones and Kay (Lamar) Gilstrap; her siblings, Conrad (Delene) Moorer and Clara Bell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
