Randy Thomas Ainsworth, age 75 of Powder Springs, GA, formally of Douglasville, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2024. Randy was born April 12, 1948 in Macon, Georgia. He was a 1966 graduate of Willingham High School in Macon, Georgia. He furthered his education by obtaining his A+ Computer certification.
Randy's passion for muscle cars, motorcycles and music began in high school and continued throughout his life. Randy was a fun loving man and was well known for his gift of gab. He was often found on weekends attending car shows and showing off his 1970 Camaro which he rebuilt.
Randy enjoyed a long career with Georgia Power Company in Atlanta as both a reprographics technician and computer specialist.
Preceding him in death was his father, Thomas Henry Ainsworth and mother, Bernice Katherine Leaptrot of Macon, Georgia.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 35 years, Joyce Cosby Ainsworth; son, Stephen Ainsworth (Jessica); grandson Colton Ainsworth, from Carrollton; brother, Rick Ainsworth from Macon; niece, January Dender (Todd), great-nephew and niece, Talon & Taryn Dender, all from Milner; along with numerous other family members and a host friends.
The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner Funeral Home at Rosehaven, Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at 2:00 with Ned Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Cemetery.
