Mrs. Sharon Elizabeth Williams, age 71, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. She was born in Prattville, Alabama on September 2, 1948 to the late Herman and Tweetie Mosley Peoples. Mrs. Williams was loving, beautiful, and a woman of faith. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She and her husband, Gerald, were long-time members of Prays Mill Baptist Church where they were very active members of the congregation. She was also a Falcons fan and enjoyed watching all the games. Mrs. Williams loved Mickey Mouse and collected many memorabilia items over the years. She liked doing crossword puzzles, loved dogs and really enjoyed lighthouses.
Mr. and Mrs. Williams took many road trips together to the mountains, various lighthouses and Disney World. They also loved being able to go have lunch with the Sunday School Class. She will be so missed by those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by not only her parents, but her great-grandson, Brody Brancheau.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 57 years, Gerald Williams; her daughters, Christine (Kirk) Nicholson and Michelle Williams; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, JW and Carolyn Williams; her 3 grandchildren, Anna (Keith) Brancheau, Morgen Nicholson, and Christian Finley; 2 great-grandchildren, Austin and Porter Brancheau; many nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous other loved ones, and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 1, 2020 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Rosehaven Chapel and immediately following the service, there will be a graveside at Rosehaven Memorial Park. The funeral home please asks all guests to adhere to the social distancing standards during this time.
