Sonya Harrington

Sonya Hulsey-Harrington, age 54, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021. She was born April 4, 1966 in Atlanta, Georgia. Sonya’s life centered around her son, Jacks. He was her “sonshine”, who attended Camden Military Academy. Sonya enjoyed singing and cooking. She owned a catering company and could cook anything. Sonya loved traveling with her son. She was passionate about supporting efforts towards recovery betterment.

Preceding her in death was her father, James H. Hulsey, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are her son, Jackson “Jacks” Harrington; her mother, Janice Crawford Hulsey; her siblings, James H. Hulsey, Jr., Daniel “Danny” Hulsey (Sonia) and Jennifer Dent (Eugene); uncles, Rubin Hulsey, James Hulsey, Roger Hulsey and Justin Hulsey; aunts, Glenda Turner, Azona McLeroy, Martha Owens and Alpha Morris; nieces and nephews, Josh Hulsey, Amanda “Mandy” Guest, Zach Hulsey, Gracie Nauman, Jordan Lee, Jessica “Jessie” Hawkins, Dylan Hulsey, David Strickland and Devan Strickland; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Kameron Guest, McKenzie Guest, Aydan Hulsey, Levi Hulsey, Kody Hulsey, Memphis Hulsey, Beau Hulsey, Houston Hulsey, Hayden Strickland and Harlye Strickland.

A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Carrollton at a later date.
