I remember meeting the Wootens shortly after my family moved to Douglasville in 1993.  Mr. C.W and my dad became super close friends and our families were the same.  Wayne was always so kind to my sister and I and helped us with our fear of dogs whenever we would come over or ride our bikes in the cul-de-sac by their house on Frank Lane.  We ended up loving their Chows by the way :).

My dad called me this morning and shared the news of Wayne's passing and my heart just broke.  I wanted to share my condolences with the family and let you all know that you are in our prayers.  


I wish I could see you one more time come walking through the door
But I know that's impossible 
I will hear your voice no more
I know you can feel my tears and you don't want me to cry
Yet my heart is broken because I can't understand why someone so precious had to die
I pray that God  will give me strength and somehow get me through 
As I struggle through with the heartache 
That came when I lost you

Wayne Wooten was a great friend that I will truly miss. I hope the family  knows that he is still with us always in spirit.  God Bless!! 

I've really had a hard time convincing my brain that this is even real; yet I've seen through heartfelt post that I am only 1 of several hundred people having the same struggle... What can I say, the world needs more men like Wayne. I am so thankful for all the laughs, your biggo humble hugs, your genuine caring smiles, and one of the very few I trusted with my own life riding with you! Many prayers for all the family & friends!  I met Wayne Feb 2021. Well, that  started a 13 month one of a kind, and very personal relationship; unlike any other I’ve experienced. I loved him for who he was and enjoyed hearing his recaps of the fun he had.  In his words “I don’t know what you see in me,  I’m just a shit show”
I saw a hard working man that has so many people to love that he just couldn’t slow down. What a blessing. He was so happy about having a grandson. He just lit up as he talked about him . Oh how I wish he could do that.  I am so very thankful that I had Wayne in my life for this short time, even though we drove each other nuts! With that said-  Never did we have negativity between us, we did have lots of laughs. I’ll miss that laugh and those sweet hugs and kisses On the head

You brought so much joy to so many, especially me. All of you are the best part of my life. I wouldn't have had it any other way. I'll hold you and your memories in my heart forever. I miss you and I love you ❤️

You have been there for me, no matter what bad choices I might have made… you lovingly repaired my broken spirit, helped me plot a new course, and set me free to fly on my own once again. There is no greater love than that. You will always be special to me, and no matter where life takes me, I’ll remember you with love

I feel that Wayne had a special connection with all of his friend’s children. He was Hannah’s favorite. They were birthday buddies. Hers is the day after his. He would always make her feel special and play with her when no other kids were around at Cissy’s house. 

Wayne truly had a one of a kind soul!! He will forever be missed!! 

The bond between us all was awesome! No matter what: we knew each other was there! I pray everyone has the bond that our siblings have! Wayne you may be gone from this earth but we will see you again! You keep watch over all of us! I will keep watching for those signs and know it’s you! I love you more than anything.  Love your sister 

From the first time I met him it was in PCB at coyote ugly  he was there with my niece Terry Brewer and Ashley Suits that’s the first time I ever met him and he was a sweetheart this was a few years back he was a very funny guy I love to hear him laughed’  he was something else’ a sweetie that he was  I will always remember him riding off his bike with the Ashley on the back it was her riding buddy’  ride high my friend with your Angels’  now  .. you will surely be missed by us all

He was and will always be a part of Hangar 92! We all love and miss you! 

Uncle Wayne I can not thank you enough for what you have done for me. I will always love you! To family and friends, the collage is of him and his bike and the same photos turned into things he enjoyed or that reminded me of him. The one on the top right is his photo with a blend of stars where he now shines, the beach which he loved, and vibrancy which he brought to a lot of people. Wayne was one of the best men I have had the privilege to meet. He always had a big smile on his face and his laughter would brighten your day. He was always one phone call away if you needed him. He was so good to my family. Wayne you will be missed.

So sorry to hear this about such a wonderful man. You were such a kind soul. You will be tremendously missed by all. I’m sorry I won’t be in town for your service but will try to watch on the live feed. Alabama will win this year’s National Championship in your honor. RTR #1….Until we meet again, buddy.

Wonderful memories of a wonderful man.....Even if you didn't see Wayne all the time; you knew that when you did catch back up....he would always greet you with a big hug and a smile. He was a friend for life. You will truly be missed, May you rest easy Wayne💔🙏💔🙏

I’ll never forget how much you loved me. I know life will never be the same without you. I’m so sad right now . so happy that we got to spend the time that we did. It breaks my heart to know Harper won’t get to grow up with you there beside him . He just lost the best uncle in the world. This sucks so bad ! 



There are few people in this world who have the ability to make every single person they know and meet feel so absolutely special. You were one of those people. I am honored to call you friend, and to have been on the receiving end of the love you so freely gave. Our world is less bright without you in it. Incredibly thankful to have known you my friend. Missing you until we meet again. 

Never saw Wayne without a smile.   He'd always say hey baby and give a little hug! 
He was always the nicest! His smile would light up a room!  He loved his friends without a doubt! He will be missed! 

Wayne was one of a kind. We did not agree on college football teams but he always congratulated me on the big wins and checked on me if the outcome was not what I wanted. He knew how sad I would be when Georgia lost. When Bama beat us in the Natty he just said “that was a great game” and “are you okay”.  When we finally got the win a few months ago he was the first congratulations I received. I don’t know many Bama fans like that!😂 So, if it’s possible, give my Dawgs a little help when needed and I think I might secretly cheer for Bama this year…but only this year!! I love you Wayne and you will be greatly missed down here!!

A man that could turn and bad day into a good one. He was never short on smiles, laughs, and bone crushing hugs. There’s never any bad memories, only good when Wayne was there. He was a jokester, but always there when it came down to the nitty gritty. You could trust him with anything. He met my little on her birthday when I went to pick him up. It was raining and he couldn’t ride the bike to join us. He came right up to her, gave her a big ole hug, pulled a crisp $50 bill out of his wallet, and told her he was about to load her up with all the slushees and sugar she could want. All I could do is laugh. You could never be mad at the man. The love for him is endless. No other man could unite so many people from so many places. I’m thankful for the years we were blessed with him, because to us there could never be too many. 

No words can explain the 30 years of friendship we’ve had. You have been the most selfless and trusting brother to us. Never judging. Always in our corner (And us in yours). You are one of those rare friends who would literally take the fall for anyone you love. And anytime I needed a partner in crime, you were always down. Our families will always be intertwined in so many ways. Life May go on for all of us. But, you’ll never NOT be a part of that. Never forgotten. We are all lucky to have had you in our lives. 

This crazy life will never be the same without you! See you on the other side brother. Ride hard smile big! Love you

Wayne was like a second dad growing up, I mean I did call him dad when I was really little. He was always there when I needed him. When I was in a car accident as soon as it happened Wayne and dad were right there. I’ll never forget his laugh.

Oh Wayne, so many memories. So many laughs, crap talking, smiles, hugs, I could go on and on. There is no other like you, Wayne. When I first met you through my parents, they had already given my hand in Marriage to you. They said “this is Wayne, your future husband” 😂 and you went on and on and on about how you were gonna marry me and I was your future wife. Little did I know that I would spend the next few years spending so much time and gaining the best of friends and family. Sooner than later, Dustin stepped in and said no Wayne, I want this one lol I think you let him just cause you love him so so much. I have had the best times and memories over the past couple years and you are a part of all of them. The sweetest, most genuine, caring and giving of them all. I love you & miss you forever. We all will. Until we see you again, save us a spot, save us a drink and show us around once we get there. 

I met my friend Wayne at the Cody Jinks concert in Chattanooga. Wayne and all of his massiveness moved my Little drunk ass so I could see Cody after he heard me complaining. He kept in touch with me ever since. When I saw Jinks in Asheville this past year, I sent him the picture of me meeting him and asked if I went to jail and if I needed bail money 😂.  He always checked on my daughter and I since I had her and always gave me encouragement through hard times. A true friend. He will be greatly missed! 

This is still so hard to believe! I had the privilege of meeting Wayne through my daughters, and from day one he became a friend. He had such a big heart and made our world a better and brighter place to live. I have tried to come up with ways to describe what a great man he was and the main description I continue to think of is....He was every person's Knight in Shining Armor, riding a Harley!  He was a true Southern Gentleman and I am so blessed to have known him and for him loving my girls and most recently, my granddaughter. (Please continue watching over us sweet man and we will see you soon to get our hug) Thank you to the Wooten family for sharing your wonderful son/brother with all of us. I will continue to pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding for all of you and his many friends. 

Wayne was a very sweet person he was like a big ole teddy bear I considered him my uncle and he will be missed very much. I remember when he made sure I was okay everyday and told me that if I ever wanted to come swimming at his house even if he wasn’t home he would let me. He came to see me right before I left for Mississippi to tell me he loves me and that if anything happened he would drive all the way to come get me he was such a caring person and made sure I was okay 24/7 

Nothing will ever be the same. Thank you for being the best person and friend. The world was a better place with you in it and I will miss you and love you forever. 

Oh Wayne, I love you so much my friend. I miss you dearly. I will always treasure our memories. I will treasure our many concerts together. We have one of the greatest Guardian Angels. 

I will never forget when I first met you. You genuinely treated me like you had always known me. I will miss your hugs. I will miss your laugh. I will miss  how your arms swing when you walk. You were always so excited to see me. You have gone way to soon but I know you’ll always be with me. I love you so much and I can’t wait to see you again. I hope they allow snorkels up there.

Wayne, you were one of my most favorite people in the world. My person to call and lean on. You always knew how to brighten my day. I cannot express how thankful I am to have known and been loved by you. Thank you for making me always feel like the most special person in the world. I love and miss you so much Brother Husband.
