Edith C. Heberling

Born on March 8, 1920, in Luthersburg, PA, the daughter of the late Ferl and Clara(Irvin) Himes. On December 8, 1938 she married Blain Heberling, who passed away on June 26, 1998.

Mrs. Heberling attended Bethany Evangelical Covenant Church, DuBois. She enjoyed quilting, camping, spending time with her family and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

She is survived by her son: John and his wife Kathryn Heberling of Falls Creek, two grandchildren: John Jr and his wife Michele Heberling of Falls Creek and Cynthia and her husband Michael McClintick also of Falls Creek; six great-grandchildren: Matthew and his fiancé Liza Lantelme, Brett and his fiancé Ashley Alston, Sarah, Kayla Heberling, Cody and Garrett McClintick; two step great-grandchildren: Michael and McKayla McClintick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Edith was the last member of her generation having been preceded in death by her parents, husband, two bothers: James Himes and Paul Himes, two sisters: Twila Korb and Mary Clinger.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc, DuBois, with Rev Donald Ostrom officiating. Burial will be in Beechwoods Cemetery.

A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday, July 31, from 2-4pm and 6-9pm at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10am until the hour of service.
