
Born on September 4, 1924 in DuBois, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nora Shriver Kirker.
She was employed with the Riverside Market as a cook at the deli.
Emma enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, and quilting. Her daytime passion was her favorite Soap Opera: The Young and the Restless.
Emma is survived by two sons: John P. "Jack" Gray and his companion, Holly Greek of Luthersburg and Thomas E. "Tom" Gray and his wife, Cecilia of Rockton; three grandchildren, Ken Gray and his wife, Kate of Graysonville, MD, Chrissy Kramer and her husband, James of Reynoldsville, and Thomas E. Gray, Jr. of Rockton; five great grandchildren, Cole, Zac, Samantha, Brittany and Matthew; and two sisters, Marge Kriner of DuBois and Shirley Gregory of CA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Gray, who passed away September 1987; a son, Harold Gray; a brother, Robert Kirker; and a sister, Eleanor Ross.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel with Rev. John White officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 6 to 8pm. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
