

Ethel E. Lee, 96 of DuBois formerly of Salem, PA, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the DuBois Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of 57 years to Perry E. Lee whom passed away October 17, 1998.
Born August 5, 1916 in Ohl, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry Blair and Lettie Behlah (Smith) Dunlap.
Ethel was a graduate of Clymer High School. Mrs. Lee was a member of Salem United Methodist Church since 1948, serving as Sunday School Teacher, Choir member, Methodist Youth Fellowship Leader, Bible School Teacher and held numerous other positions throughout the years. She was employed by Cairns Market and Cairns Dairy Treat in Salem. Ethel loved spending time with her family and dear friends and baking the best sugar cookies ever.
Surviving are two sons: Thomas E. Lee and his wife Betty, DuBois; John E. Lee and his wife Suzanne, DuBois; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey Lee and his wife Rhonda, Sykesville; Vickie McGowan and her husband Ed, DuBois; Krista Verne and her husband Mark, Brockway; Stephen Lee and his wife Amy, Troutville, Justin Lee and wife Ashley, DuBois; Melissa Wayne and her husband John, DuBois and Michelle Gray and her husband Jamison, Bradford; also 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Reed Swope and his wife Betty Lee Swope; numerous nieces and nephews and a “Daughter by Faith” Barbara Muth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters: Edith Prody and an infant sister Grace; one brother: J.C. Dunlap.
A service to celebrate the life of Ethel E. Lee will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, 142 W. Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801 with Rev. Richard Howe and Pastor Leon Blose co-officiating. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery, DuBois.
