With profound love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son Callen Donovan Klingler, who was born March 3, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio, and passed peacefully in the arms of his parents after a brave fight against Acute Undifferentiated Leukemia at 2:56 am on December 11, 2025.
Though Callen’s time with us was brief, his life was filled with love and meaning. He brought immeasurable joy, hope, and tenderness. He was curious, fearless, and prioritized fun. Hobbies included plane spotting, dinosaur Callen, roaring before a tackle, running wherever he could, and all kinds of music. With eyes as blue as the ocean and uncontrollable hair, his look perfectly matched his loving and fun personality. Given the name meaning Powerful Warrior, he embodied that meaning fighting every day through his treatments, often with a smile and high five. His battle has taught his family and care staff the true meaning of perseverance, strength, and joy even in the hard times. He was quick with his blown kisses and loving hugs right before causing mischief. Always on his own schedule, and playing by his own rules, he brought endless smiles to everyone around him.
Callen will forever be held in the hearts of his parents Travis J. Klingler and Bridget E. (Messaros) Klingler, his adoring big brother Zoltan, and ever watchful dog, Theodore. He will be cherished by his family, including his grandparents, Jack and Kathy Messaros, Roger and Lisa Briem; Aunts and Uncles: Cory (Carrie) Messaros, Brittany (Wesley) Woods, Kyle Messaros, Jarred Briem, Josh Briem, Jamie (Marcello) Martinez, Nick Klingler; Cousins: Jack, Quinn, Breytin, Chase, Delia, Luca, Alessio, and Landin. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Alan Klingler. Callen was embraced by an amazing circle of friends, each one holding his memory in their hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with a time of remembrance at 3:30pm at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive Dublin, Ohio 43017.
Memorial Contributions in the name of Callen’s Corner may be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Cancer Research, Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio, or The Columbus Zoo in his memory. To reflect the love, laughter, and light Callen shared with everyone, the family kindly requests bright and colorful flowers in remembrance.
