Charles Russell Trenary Jr.

Charles Russell Trenary Jr., lived a proud and fulfilling life from February 15, 1931, to January 20, 2023. He was born the only child of Geraldine and Charles Russell Trenary in Detroit Michigan, and moved to Columbus Ohio as a teenager, in time to attend and graduate from his beloved Ohio State University. Along the way he met and married the love of his life Barbara Hadden, a marriage lasting 68 years, until her passing on April 5, 2021. A most brilliant and kind man, he had an outstanding business career, earning a CPA at one of the premier Big 8 accounting firms, before joining Chrysler Corporation and serving in a variety of key executive roles for 39 years. His job promotions took him and his family from Royal Oak MI to Newark DE, then Centerville OH, a brief stop in Kokomo IN, and ultimately back to Detroit. He reveled in the successes of his family and is survived by daughter-in-law and son, Karen and Charles Russell Trenary III; granddaughters, Alexandra Jane Trenary Kutzler, and Samantha Jane Trenary; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Robert Thompson; granddaughters Margaret and Geraldine Thompson, and great grandchildren Zachary and Elizabeth.
