

Lori Marie (Romer) Harrell passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2024. Lori, age 60, was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She grew up in Findlay, Ohio where she graduated from St. Michael's and Findlay High School. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Bowling Green State University. Lori started her career as an Intake Caseworker at the Sandusky County Department of Human Services in Fremont, Ohio. While there she met her husband, Phillip Harrell, and they were married March 31,1989. Lori and Phil moved to central Ohio in 1990 and began working for the Ohio Department of Human Services. Lori worked in the Office of Child Support and the Office of Medicaid until 2002.
Lori devoted her life to her two beautiful daughters. She volunteered in many elementary school related activities including classroom helper, welcome desk greeter, and holiday coordinator. She was the Girl Scout troop leader for both Ellen and Emily as well as the cookie mom. She volunteered with the Dublin Band Boosters in various positions, and helped with the Dublin Coffman girl’s volleyball team. She was extremely generous and never hesitated to help anyone. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Harrell; children, Ellen (Shawn) Mestelske and Emily Harrell; parents, Emajean and Roger Romer; sisters, Lisa (Logan) Welch, Ann Romer, Meg (Scott) Butler; brother, Thom (Christina) Romer; many nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 1st, at St. Brigid of Kildare in Dublin, Ohio at 12:00 p.m. The family will be in the chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. for those who wish to pay their respects beforehand.
