

Neil I. Bowers, 62, of Lima, Ohio, passed away after a long and courageous battle with diabetes, leukemia, and other health complications. He was born on May 19, 1964, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and moved to Ohio as an infant with his parents, Bill and Emlyn Bowers. Neil was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of five, a challenge he faced with strength throughout his life. He graduated from Western Reserve High School in Warren, Ohio.
During his travels to Florida, Neil met his first wife, Becky, who preceded him in death. He later returned to Ohio and worked at Miller Brewing in Trenton. After meeting his second wife, Kelly, the two made their home together in Lima, Ohio, where they built a life filled with love and companionship.
Neil was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed fishing, building puzzles, and playing board games with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly; his mother, Emlyn Schweikert; his siblings, Scott Bowers and Krista Hay; his stepson, John Neil; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Bowers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday May 31, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
