Teresa Reiling LaMendola

Teresa was born on January 11, 1943, to Jack and Jane Reiling in Dayton, Ohio. Teresa was the oldest of 7 children. After graduating from Julienne High School, she went on to study at the University of Dayton where she met her husband, Robert LaMendola. They married in 1964 and had four children, Debbie, Tony, TJ and Michelle.

After graduation, Teresa began her 44 year career in education. Teresa had a passion for helping others. As a teacher, and later as a school psychologist, she helped students reach their potential. Her spirit, spunk and wisdom inspired others and changed lives for the better. Teresa’s heart was filled with love that she spread to all who had the opportunity to know her. Teresa volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul in both Dayton, Ohio and later in Bradenton, Florida. She touched lives with her kindness, compassion, generosity, and wisdom.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; her daughters, Michelle and Debbie; her son, Tony; and her brothers, Ed, Joe and John. She is survived by her son, TJ (Sue) LaMendola; her sisters, Jan (Victor) Norton, Jill (Matthew) Markey; her brother Timothy (Rose) Reiling; her brother-in-law Br. Stephen LaMendola; and her seven grandchildren, Mitch (Natalie), Nick, Chris, Megan, Andrew, Mia and Madison LaMendola.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Brigid of Kildare Church, 7179 Avery Rd. Dublin, Ohio on April 28, 2023, at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Vincent DePaul, St Joseph Conference Bradenton Inc., where Teresa volunteered for many years. Donations may be mailed to St Joseph Church, 2704 33rd Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205.
