

Wanda Lou Dotson, age 77 of Dublin, Ohio, was preceded in death by her partner of 42 years, Sadie Mae Hodge; parents Harold and Bertha Wolford Dotson; sister Bonnie Sue Dotson; and two brothers, Teddy Ray and Dusty Dean Dotson all of Phelps, KY, and their three beloved cats, Charlie, Sophie, and Rusty.
Wanda is survived by her sister Cathy Lynn Dotson, Lexington, KY; nieces Kayla Daniels (Jordan Dotson), Stopover, KY; Trusonda Nychole (Joe) Larue, Matewan, WV; Claudia Cooke, Marengo, OH; Teagan McCulloch, Mt Vernon, OH; Autumn Kindred of Ohio; nephews Teddy Harold Dotson, Huntington, WV; Owen (Lexi) Smith and Jonathan Smith of Michigan; Jacob McCulloch, Mt Vernon, OH; Elijah Cooke, Marengo, OH; Conner Cluley of Michigan; great-nieces Brooklyn Alexis Compton, Kayslee Madison Dotson, and Carli Elizabeth Jones; two great-nephews Caden Derrick Compton and Harley Axel Jones; stepmother-in-law, Connie Hodge of Fredericktown, OH; sisters-in-law Billie Jo (Scott) Cooke, Marengo, OH, Bambi (Chris) Hodge-Cluley, Mt. Pleasant, MI, and Bridget (Joe) McCulloch, Mt. Vernon, OH.
Wanda is also survived by her beloved caregivers who she loved like sisters, Haja Jalloh and Ferbie Marcum-Phillips of Dublin, OH; two aunts Josephine Wolford (Fred) Adams, Orient, OH, and Ethel (Dotson) Estep, Pikeville, KY, plus a host of close cousins and friends.
Wanda graduated from Phelps High School, Class of 1966 in Phelps, KY. She earned her A.A.S. degree in Accounting from Southern West Virginia Community College in 1982. She later moved to Ohio and in the end retired from Honda Manufacturing in Marysville, OH, as a Buyer. She quickly became an Ohio State Buckeye fan but still had a deep love for the University of Kentucky Wildcat basketball and football teams. In her pastime, she would watch NCIS and play games on her phone. After retirement, Wanda and Sadie traveled to do research for genealogy and for fun and relaxation. Wanda had a smile that would light up any room. Her kindness and huge heart were why people loved her so much! She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Wanda will never be forgotten!
Per Wanda’s request, there will be no viewing or service. However, there will be a graveside service for her and Sadie at Union Cemetery at a later date.
