

Finley was born in 1943 in Superior, WI to Finley, Sr. and Louise Stalvig. He worked for 41 years as a reporter and photographer at the Evening Telegram in Superior. He retired in 2002 and went to work for the Shack Liquor Store in Superior.
Finley acted in and directed many shows at the Duluth Playhouse. He started Dinner Theater at Spirit Mountain in 1971. In the 1980's, he started Dinner Theater at Cronstrom’s Supper Club. In the 1990's it was moved to the Shack Supper Club where he ran the theater for 16 years.
Finley was preceded in death by his parents; son, Todd Preston Stalvig and sister, Adelaide “Bug” Saari.
He is survived by his husband of 31 years, Charles; daughter, Tamara (Ernesto) Gutierrez; former wife, Rita (Dennis) McDonald; grandchildren, Calvin, Crystal, Celina (Jared), Alex; great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Jazmyn; brother, Fred Stalvig; sister, Linda (Lee) McGonnegal and many other family and friends, including his faithful companion, Sylvia Sue.
Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24 at the Proctor Moose, 415 3rd Ave, in Proctor.
