Gladys C. Larson

She was born January 26, 1913 in Duluth, to Olaf and Oline Nelsen. On June 21, 1952 Gladys married Earl L. Larson.

Gladys had a long working career. She worked for Klear Flax, Gustafson’s Bakery and Restaurant, Bagley Jewelry, Bridgeman-Russell Creamery and the Y.W.C.A., until she retired. She loved going to the dances at the V.F.W, talking on the phone with her friends and riding the bus to the mall and downtown.

Gladys was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 42 years, Earl in 1994; her twin brother, Clarence and brothers, Emil and Paul; her sisters, Emma Widmark and Mildred Nelsen.

She is survived by her twin children, Dennis Larson, of Duluth and Mary (Bob) Wigg, of Hermantown; three grandchildren, Shawn (Tanya) Wigg, of Willow River, MN, Samantha Larson and Tony Larson, both of Duluth; four great-grandchildren, Cody, Erin, Morgan and Alaina; special niece, Betty Chesney.

The family would like to thank the staff at Viewcrest for their thoughtful care of Gladys and the support they gave the family.

Visitation from 11:00am until the 12:00 noon funeral service Monday, January 3rd in the Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
