Jean Berttula Christopherson

Jean was born to Erick and Hilda Berttula in August of 1911 in Toivola, Minnesota.

Jean married Walter Christopherson May 12, 1943 in Topeka, Kansas. She was a former employee of Holtel Duluth and Blood Donors, Inc. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and its Esther Circle, Past Matron of Zenith Chapter OES, Lotus Temple Daughters of the Nile, Mizpah Shrine No. 1, Kaleva Ladies, Depot Volunteers, West Duluth American Legion Auxiliary No. 71 and the Honored Ladies.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1980; parents Erick and Hilda; brothers: John, Arne, Emil and Elroy; sisters: Alice Chase, Amy Thompson, Marie McAlpine, Fern Kolojeski and Aune Huhta.

Jean is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 12 Noon until the 1 p.m. Funeral Service on Thursday, June 19 at First Lutheran Church, 1100 E Superior St, in Duluth. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church, Scottish Rite Speech Clinic and Essentia Hospice, as well as Shriners.
