Julie Ann (Cummings) Myhre, 48, lifetime resident of Duluth died on Sunday, July 12th, 2015 at the University of Wisconsin Madison Hospital as a result of a sustained brain injury. Her loving family was by her side.
Julie was born on February 15, 1967 and graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1985. She married Tim Myhre on December 17, 1994. Julie worked for Charter Communications for 17 years, and in 2012 she began her career as a nurse. She was an LPN at View Crest Health Center, and had finished her coursework for her RN degree.
Julie was passionate about helping others. She loved each one of her residents at View Crest. She spent countless hours over the last 40 years working at her family’s business (Cummings Greenhouse). You could find her sitting on the sidelines for all of her kids sporting events. Julie was also an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Most importantly, she loved being a wife and mother, and spending time with her family.
In keeping with Julie’s loving and generous spirit, it was her decision to donate life so that others may live.
She is survived by her husband Tim, her daughters Sydney (15) and Alexis (14), step daughter, Jamie (Matt) Thompson, step son, Brian Myhre, grandchildren, Ethan, Alyssa, and Izac; her parents, Pete and Barb Cummings; sisters, Cindy (Larry) Beaulier, Trish (Andre) Beaudry, and nieces, Emily, Hannah, Claire, Breanna, Audrey, and Patti Rose, and nephew, Peter.
Visitation: 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 410 N. Arlington Ave, Duluth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the college fund of Sydney and Alexis Myhre at NorthShore Bank. Burial will take place at Oneota Cemetery.
