Louis M. Price

Louis Maurice Price, age 56, longtime resident of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, December 19, 2011.

Louis was born October 12, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to Arthur Gilliam and Ernestine Mathews. He attended Wendell Phillips High School, College for 2 years and Vocational Education completed. Louis Maurice worked as a car broker early on in his illness.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Mathews and father, Arthur Gilliam; sisters, Charmaine Lewis and Beverly Coney and aunts, Mary Hubbard and Florine Mathews.

He is survived by his father, James Mathews Jr.; brothers, Arthur, Sidney, Manual; sisters, Victoria, Cherise, Lydia; nieces, Tammy, Tamika, Tracey, Tanielle, Tawny, Tony, Tamala, Tashmien, Tiashanie, Atlantis, Serenity, Shaquon, Renea, Serena, Tiffany, Trinity; nephews, Michael, Ronald, John John, Jamie, Jacques, Desha’, Ishmael, Aundre, Deshay; cousins, Debra, Carol, Margo, Carmella, Derrick, Franklin, Donald, Beverly, uncle Alfonso, cousin Elizabeth, Ernest, Marie, Minnie, Betty, Sabrina, Barbara, Shaun and Lavada and a host of other loving relatives.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, Duluth. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include, Sidney Mathews, Helen Davis, Lydia Mathews, Jacques Mathews, Clint Dixon, and Mark A. McGee.
