

Marvin was born in Roberts, MT in 1928. He then lived in Duluth after military service in Korea where he serviced military vehicles and was kept on standby as a Finnish language translator.
Marvin had his own excavating business for several years and was then employed by the City of Duluth in parks and maintenance, from where he retired in 1992. He loved wildlife, painting and traveling on the road; especially to his hometown of Roberts and other western states..
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Josephine Johnson, brother Herbert Johnson, sister Edna Johnson (Stanley - deceased), grandson Aaron Kellett; Marvin’s sister Viola Peterson (Dennis -deceased) died 5 days after him on June 16.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna Nathalia Johnson,children, Bruce Johnson (Julie), Karen Johnson, Cindy Kellett (Scott), Liana Jacobs (Frank). Grandchildren Shawn Peters, Candace and Lisa Johnson, Kerri Kellett, Genna Kellett, Tyler Hilgers, Afton Hilgers and Andie Hilgers.
An informal celebration of life with family and friends will be held at Keystone Bluffs, 2528 Trinity Rd, Duluth, on Wednesday, June 25th at 2:30 pm.
