

Ruth grew up in southern Minnesota and moved to McGregor where she married Elmer Tast July 29, 1943 at her parents farm in McGregor. After Elmer served in the war they began raising their family in Munger, MN. Ruth resided in her home in Munger until her recent illness.
She was an active member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Proctor, and she enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, going to the cabin, family get togethers, and traveling.
Ruth will be sadly missed by her family, church family, and all who knew her.
Her family would like to thank Rev. Peter Kowitz, her Doctors and staff at St. Mary’s Hospital (3rd Floor East) , and staff at Lakeshore Rehab for the outstanding love, support, and care that they gave to her.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; parents, Louis and Mathilda; sisters, Lorraine Halverson and Marjorie Hawks; and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her daughters, Barb McIsaac and Mary Ann Tast both of Esko; grandsons, Aaron (Darci) McIsaac of Famington, MN and Kevin (Hana) McIsaac of Cloquet; great grand-daughter, Avery McIsaac of Farmington; and brother, Glenn Halverson of Mahtowa.
Visitation: 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 614 2nd Street, Proctor. Interment will be in Oneota Cemetery.
