Agnes passed away peacefully in Duncan, B.C. on January 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Agnes leaves behind Bob, her husband of 69 years, her children Dianne (Tom), Barbara (Mike), Sandy (Dwain), Sharon (Conrad) and Les (Brenda), 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her sister Shirley (Lorne) and other extended family. She was predeceased by her mom and dad, Gerritje and Edward Miles, brother Don and granddaughter Michelle.
Born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Agnes moved to Duncan with Bob in 1987 after many years in Calgary. Trained as a nurse, she was also an excellent gardener, homemaker and bargain finder. She delighted in her friends and neighbours, and her volunteer job at the Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop (HATS). We will also remember Mom for her wonderful roast beef dinners and homemade pies.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15 at 2857 Philip Street, Duncan. In lieu of flowers, donations to HATS will be gratefully accepted.
