I am terribly saddened to just hear about the passing of Dr Cox. He saw something in me in my early and struggling days in medical school at Memorial that allowed me, with his encouragement and guidance to succeed. I am forever blessed that I knew him. [MUN Med Class of 1984]

John and I were saddened to hear of the passing of Al.  He was a much loved and respected member of that special first class of medical students at UBC.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you grieve your loss.  May the memories of all the good times you have shared bring comfort and peace.

I am sad to learn of the passing of Dr. Cox.  It is many years since I left the
secretary's desk in the Department of Medicine, Vancouver General Hospital, 
but I remember Dr. Cox as a very special person, a pleasure to work for.

Dear Peg and family, so sad to hear of Al's passing. I remember babysitting your kids to knowing him as a colleague and friend with fondness. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Al Cox and offer sincere condolences to the entire family.
It was my good fortune to have known Al since 1972 when I arrived at MUN medical school and to have fostered a wonderful relationship as  a colleague during his tenure as Dean and vice--president.
Al's support and assistance throughout my career at MUN was valued and greatly appreciated.
That he was able to serve the Faculty of Medicine and Memorial Nuiversity in positions of authority and enormous responsibility with honesty,integrity and trustworthiness is a lasting testimony. Tha man,the friend,the colleague will be fondly remembered

Dr. Al Cox was Dean of Medicine when I first worked as a librarian at the Health Sciences Library at MUN, and I and all my colleagues appreciated his leadership and support, as well as his humour and kindness. To Dr. Peg Cox and all his family and friends, my deepest condolences.
