It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Bruce (Eddy) Dickson, after suffering from dementia for 7 years. Edward was born in Vancouver and went to King Edward High School with his nieces, Gloria and Margaret.
He spent many years working for Morton Engineering in Vancouver and then moved to the Island in 1973 to open a branch in Duncan. After it was sold, he worked for Chevron and then spent the last of his career with Duncan Paving as a driveway estimator and dispatcher. He was a member of the community policing, doing the speed watch with his friend Richard.
Eddy thoroughly enjoyed working in the garden, attending the Bonsai Group, and Tai Chi before the pandemic. Taking two walks a day was the most important thing that he focused on in the last few years, and he insisted on doing that daily, no matter what the weather.
He is survived by his wife Christina, sons John, Timothy (Jeanne), Gregory (Christine), and grandchildren Chelsea, Mackenzie, Owen and Jayden. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
