May God give peace in the time of sorrows but know that we been made endure for a night but JOY cometh in the morning.

From the time I was a kid, I remember you, Uncle Jerry, hunting with my dad, Sid Rhodes all the deer and the birds you guys brought back to the house. with the bird dogs.. Trudy & Linny comming with you for dinner over to our house, sometimes staying over with us. When you drew the cover for my grade 6 class newspaper, made me always want to be a sign painter just like you.  My dad always showed me the signs around town that you worked on, I loved to see your work.  I was really glad to have a copy of the picture that you and my dad took together this past year, Sid is going to miss you Jerry. I"ll miss all the stories.  God speed and much love from Sid and Heather xx

Unfortunately Vanna & I are unable to attend the service for Jerry due to family commitments in Prince George.
However, be assured our thoughts are with you and that many others will be there to show their respect and love for Jerry, a man who was truly liked and admired by those he touched in his work his golf and his social life.
I was very fortunate to know him for more that 40 years, a recipient of his golf instruction, his work expertise & knowledge and mostly his friendship.
Jerry was highly respected in the Shipbuilding and Ship repair industry for his knowledge, his demeanour, and his relationships with Ship Owners, Representatives, Shipyard management and fellow workers.
On behalf of the Yarrows and Versatile Pacific ex-staff, management and workforce, be assured that Jerry will be forever remembered in the Victoria and Vancouver Shipbuilding/Repair community.
